Perquimans County is a county located in the U.S. state of North Carolina. As of 2000, the population is 11,368. Its county seat is Hertford. Perquimans County is the home of Baseball Hall of Famer Jim “Catfish” Hunter and Harvey Point Defense Testing Activity facility.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 329 square miles, of which, 247 square miles of it is land and 82 square miles of it (24.86%) is water.
